I think it’s interesting because it tells us that Tybalt is a master swordsman and that you don’t stand a chance going up against. this may be foreboding Mercutio’s death at the hands of Tybalt later on.
“Alas, poor Romeo! He is already dead, stabbed with a white wench’s black eye, shot through the ear with a love song, the very pin of his heart cleft with the blind bow-boy’s butt shaft” – Mercutio
This is a great use of metaphor. Mercutio and Benvolio still think Romeo is in love with Rosaline. This quote says how he (Romeo) is dead, for his heart has been torn apart with his non-returned love for Rosaline.
